Dr. Herman Branover Dear Herman, You have now received faxes from me that include the C.V.'s for myself, Uri Soudak, Dr. Paulo Correa and his wife Alexandra Correa. I hope these are helpful in anticipation of your meeting early next week - we hope - with Mr. X. You may, of course, show Mr. X this letter, but he is to keep it confidential from the Energetics Group. Below I have answered the questions you posed to me yesterday, but first let me review the context and background in which this meeting of yours with Mr. X will occur: • You approached me by telephone as a fellow participant in ICCF10, seeking my impressions of "cold fusion" and other new energy claims that I and Infinite Energy has explored. This was carrying our your ethical and scientific responsibility as the leader of the Energetics Technologies program. You could not have been expected to know everything about cold fusion that I have learned and experienced over the past 15 years - you are still learning new things as that program proceeds. I gave you the best assessments that I could based on 15 years of very difficult-to-achieve understandings, which have come at enormous sacrifice to me personally (in financial and social terms). To be humorous but also serious: On the day if and when Exxon-Mobil Corporation ever contacts me about these matters, I will charge them a $100,000 consulting fee for this information. For you and Mr. X and for Truth and Justice, my advice for now is free. (If the Oil Minster of Saudi Arabia should call, I will charge him $1 billion for my opinion and give him the wrong information! I'd say, "Just keep producing oil!") • I learned from Dr. Arik El-Boher's presentation at ICCF10 (which I video-taped and sent to Dr. Ehud Greenspan - Mr. X probably saw this) and from you that the driving motivation that led Mr. X to fund the effort at Energetics Technologies (ET) was the firm belief of Dr. Irving Dardik that "SuperWave" methodology would guarantee the ultimate success of a cold fusion/LENR technological program by ET. • I have told you that I very much admire the bold success that Dr. Dardik has had with his SuperWave methodologies in medicine. I have no reason to doubt these medical experiments at all, though I have not studied all his published works in detail. (I will in due course do that since I am very interested in alternative medicine approaches.) I am also happy that these methodologies are having some partial beneficial results in the ET program - such as in the matter of hydrogen loading. Nonetheless, I am telling you firmly and confidently that these empirical methods of ET - which have been quite common in the cold fusion/LENR field, i.e. almost everything has been tried, from ultrasonic stimulation to gas phase catalytic work - is most likely to fail to result in a technological device within 3 years or 10 years, no matter how much money is spent. (It is possible that I am wrong, but I doubt it.) This is precisely because the leading theorists in "cold fusion" - Drs. Hagelstein, Chubb, Kim, etc. - have failed to consider even the most elementary requirements of scientific investigation: Examine all the facts - not just those which are convenient to one's theory! They have done so, for example, by rigorously ignoring the spectacular work being done at BlackLight Power Corporation in New Jersey, which has far more repeatable excess heat experiments than virtually anything within "cold fusion" - and it is being done at high temperature in the gas phase. (See the data for yourself, which is posted at [...]). And, these same "cold fusion" theorists have avoided (without investigation) the much more spectacular and successful work of the Correas, which is already producing free electricity. • I have urged the following course of action by you and Mr. X to create the successful outcome that we all wish - the advent of a New Energy Age by the best and fastest means possible:
Now let me turn to the several questions that you have asked regarding the project we are proposing:
That is a good question and it is easy to answer, even though it seems puzzling at first. It seems like asking, "There is a huge shiny diamond lying on the street and hundreds of people are walking past it, why has no one picked it up?!" As you know, not everything that is truly good and of great potential value to civilization is given proper and sufficient support - or even polite recognition. In fact, to the contrary: the history of science is filled with discoveries that even after they were made were rejected for many years by arrogant or stupid people. That is the rule rather than the exception. Just because something has repeatedly demonstrated the existence of a profound new free and clean energy source, does not mean that it will be embraced by those who read about it, study it, or are even given the opportunity to consider investing in it! Take the very field into which you have entered - the so-called "cold fusion" or LENR field. For 15 years it has been largely starved for research funding - even with the relatively big sums spent by EPRI ($6 million), the Japanese MITI ($30 million), by Bose Corporation ($2 million - with Hagelstein, McKubre and Fleischmann as consultants), ENECO ($4-$5 million), by BlackLight Power Corp. ($20-$30 million), the US Navy ($1-$2 million), etc. Given what has already been published about this cold fusion/LENR work that is even now freely available on the Internet, there should be by right - because of its intrinsic scientific interest - be hundreds of millions of dollars spent on CF/LENR per year. In part, this shortage of funding is because arrogant, greedy people in academia have attacked these new discoveries. So there is one example of something that is wonderful, that is woefully under-funded - not sufficiently researched so far for there to be any powerful, reliable devices on the market yet. Nor will there be for a long time, in all likelihood if the way the field is now proceeding by its empirical methods and deliberate ignoring of evidence from other scientific work - such as that of the Correas, the Graneaus, BlackLight Power and others, which shed light on the underlying mechanisms of these excess heat and anomalous nuclear products phenomena within the now very isolated CF/LENR field. I have been warning these CF/LENR people for some time now to pay attention to other related discoveries; they have not done so and will suffer the consequences. So, in some sense the cold fusion/LENR field has become "its own worst enemy." Now to the Correa work - let us consider now only the PAGD reactor, which produces excess electrical output in a conceptually straightforward system. The patents have been public since 1995-1996 (the patent numbers are #5,449,989; #5,416,391, and #5,502,354) and since Infinite Energy wrote much about it in 1996. However, unlike cold fusion the PAGD was not announced at a huge press conference that exposed the discovery to millions of people on one day, generating a gigantic controversy within science and in the general news media! The Correas worked instead quietly, and hoped to find a suitable industrial or financial partner to work with. When their patents came out, they were far more certain of their discovery than were Fleischman and Pons on March 23, 1989. They wrote to hundreds of companies, and as you know only Ontario Hydro and Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI), (and one or two others) took the time to really examine PAGD to any depth at all. Ontario Hydro and IAI confirmed the profound excess electrical power measurements that are publicly presented in the Correa patents - and STILL these two rich corporations did not decide to support the work. For what reasons? None that made any sense at all, given what was at stake! It was stupidity in one case (Ontario Hydro) and fear in the other case (IAI). I could write an entire book on this topic of why the excellent work of the Correas has not been funded so far by outside parties - Uri Soudak could be my co-author! Finally, let me say to you that I now recall - after forgetting anything had happened - that I very briefly brought this PAGD work to the attention of Dr. Dardik during ICCF10, hoping that he would see some value in it. Did he do anything about it? No, he did not! He was evidently too fearful that it would be a threat to his project. Now I can judge his motives more clearly, whereas at the time when I told him about this I thought he was just being too overwhelmed with ICCF10 information in not getting back to me. I had forgotten our significant contact in my intense discussions with you. So, I think that if Dr. Dardik were to be allowed to judge this Correa Energy Project today - he would likely do no investigating of it at all because he thinks it threatens his project, in which he has a large financial interest. Furthermore, he is not qualified to judge it. So, there is your answer. If there is to be any hope for Mr. X to look at PAGD and the other Correa work objectively, we must separate the two projects completely.
Let me refer to Uri Soudak's detailed 8-page CONFIDENTIAL report of February 25, 2004, which I am sending you by overnight Fedex to the Alexander Hotel. It speaks for itself. But let me give you some rough facts from within it. Of course for parts of this, for example the plan for developing PAGD reactor into a ruggedized and pre-production 10 to 15 kW electric generator prototype, these have been done in great detail years earlier by Uri and the Correas. But what follows is the more general overview that you asked for. First, here is a general non-confidential overview from Uri's report: The technologies developed by the CORREA Project represent a critical evolution of prior researches and findings concerning the massfree Aether - specifically, the work of scientists like N. Tesla, L. de Broglie, W. Reich and H. Aspden.The key initial product, "Project 1," to be developed within the Correa Energy Project (CEP), with which I am sure Mr. X will be enormously impressed is the PAGD - Pulsed Abnormal Glow Discharge reactor. Unlike CF/LENR devices today, this has a 100% repeatable excess energy output in the form of mainly electricity, but also heat; its precise methodology for being tested is specified in the three US patents mentioned above. There are other ways too, which I have used myself in checking it out - the measuring of the energy of output pulses with a data acquisition system or oscilloscope. The first goal of the CEP, within six months after launching the project, is to demonstrate a new level of robust power output - one kilowatt of electricity, as determined by the charging up of depleted battery packs in an absolutely irrefutable methodology that is described in their US patents. The ratio of output to input power in this demonstration will be no less than 5:1, and may be higher. After this is validated by an agreed-upon independent expert(s) in electrical power and energy measurements, the second phase of the project will accelerate dramatically toward the goal of a robust, ruggedized commercial PAGD reactor that produces 1 to 10 kW of electricity continuously for long periods of time. During this phase (30 to 36 months) it is expected that most all of the basic R&D to make production reactors will have been solved by the research group. The technology would be ready for licensing to others at that point. The chances of that happening for the Energetics technologies program in three years (or even five years) are almost zero, in my view. Another key product of the CEP will be the Aether Motor/Converter - this will be under "Project 2" - all projects would be going in parallel. These motors already run from vacuum energy with no active power input - that is, no batteries, no power from the power grid. Patent coverage has been applied for already. Working lab prototypes in the power range of 10-30 watts have already been built and demonstrated on the commercially available DVD "From Plasma Power to the Aether Motor." It is expected that such motors will be improved to significantly greater power levels within the first 30-36 months of the CEP project. The third product, "Project 3" is a Solar Energy Conversion Module, which has already been able to demonstrate round-the-clock powering of a small Stirling engine from solar-induced environmental energy. This will use solar power at double or more the efficiency of existing solar cells. Working prototypes exist and may be seen on a newly produced DVD - "Free Power Around the Clock." This area was the cover story of Infinite Energy issue #53. This is another aspect of vacuum energy tapping, but this time the energy is primarily coming from the Sun - but not in the form that is normally understood by modern physics. Finally, "Project 4" is very much related to the technology of Project 1, though that would not be apparent at first. It would produce a Table Top Nuclear Fusion Reactor, To obviate the production of nuclear ash, in the Correa Fusion Reactor the byproducts of these reactions are shunted to produce helium, which is trapped in a self-contained heat exchange circuit designed to export the heat and return the coolant to the reactor. The deuterium fuel is also recycled throughout the process. The reactor is designed so that residual charge from the reaction is separated and is fed, in turn, to a vacuum-shield envelope, where it is employed to directly generate electricity by means of an electrodynamically-controlled pulsed plasma discharge operating with auto-electronic emission in the PAGD regime, and patented converter-system techniques. No lab prototype has been, or is being, developed at this time. No technical details are available for disclosure until all relevant patents have been applied for.
The PAGD is discussed in great detail in the patents which I have given you, but let me make some basic statements about it and also enclose (attached) two or three diagrams from the patents. PAGD may be a glass (or metal) tube that has within it various cathode and anode configurations, but typically these are flat aluminum plates. The tube is brought to a specified optimal high vacuum and the tube and its associated conventional electronic components are fed by DC current input - such as from a series array of batteries or grid-provided current. The size of the tube is not limited, but typically may be 10-15 cm in diameter and 30-60 cm long. When a specific region of current and voltage characteristic is reached, the PAGD circuitry results in controllable frequency pulses of energy that are automatic (autogenous) and may be captured and fed to depleted batteries that can then be charged up, or alternately can be converted to drive motors. The power ratio of electricity output to input can be very high - say 10:1 True self-sustaining operation has not yet been achieved, but will be achieved as a natural extension of the R&D up to this point. I might add that the phenomena on which this patented PAGD is based were seen in the 1920s and 1930s, but were overlooked and not properly investigated! Otherwise, there might have been a free energy technology long before nuclear fission energy emerged before and during WWII - and today vacuum energy would be an accepted science and technology. How slowly humanity comes to its senses! The practical scaled-up device in the 10 kW range, producing current and voltage suitable for home or other uses would not be particularly large. One would expect such a device to be no larger than a typical oil heating furnace in a home today. However, I do not think anyone will object to the size no matter what it is, because it will be free electricity - no recurring costs other than routine maintenance and occasional replacement of components.
Perhaps the best summary overall was in a brief "White Paper" prepared last year by Uri Soudak and the Correas. I quote it here in full below, and include [in brackets] additional comments and clarifications by me in this two-pages of text. However, before I do this, let me try to make some simplifying descriptions so that you may appreciate the language better. What we are talking about in all the devices that are being discussed here is vacuum energy - although the better term is really aether energy (though not the same "aether" - the "electromagnetic aether" that was ruled out by the Michelson-Morley experiment of 1887). You realize that modern physics does not suggest that there is an easy way - or any way - to tap the energy of the supposedly quantum mechanically derived "zero point energy" (ZPE) of the vacuum, which is supposed to have a fine structure within so-called "empty space-time." Yes, there is a lot of nonsense in today's establishment physics about "dark energy" and "dark matter" - the supposed primary constituents of the universe. That just shows how insane modern physics has become to believe that there is some mysterious "dark energy" which no one can known about - so far - in experiments!! Ironically, the only vacuum energy there is turns out to be of the kind that the Correas have tapped already and put into prototype energy producing devices. But just like with "cold fusion/LENR," the mainstream physicists refuse to look at the experiments that show that this energy can be tapped. Yes, the "diamond" is sitting there on the street and no one is picking it up. It is possibly the most profound scientific irony of our time. I should further note that the Correas have managed to define the structure of the electron within the framework of their theory. They can explain how mysterious "charge" and "mass" (inertial mass) comes about due to these structural features. They can also explain how leptons, such as electrons, can be produced from the structure of the all-pervading energy continuum, the aether. Indeed, this is done within their devices. The person or persons involved should be specialists - engineers - in electrical power measurements who have no vested interest in physics theories as they are today. Their job would be only to certify that during a fixed period of time how much average input power was used by the PAGD tube and how much average output power was produced by the tube and that no "hidden equipment" was producing the effect. That is a simple to understand outcome. I can assure you that there are several additional ways that the electrical person(s) would be able to use to have no doubt at all that the PAGD was real. We will work together to come up with independent engineering professors or professionals of mutual acceptability, who would do this.
These appear in Uri Soudak's report, which is being Fedexed to you. The first phase will suffice to launch all the other projects, based on an agreed-upon time table and financial structure. The basic principle is this: When the PAGD demo test occurs to the satisfaction of the outside evaluator(s), on or before the six month milestone, this must trigger by contract the formal launching of the agreed-upon program with all its financial parameters - aprt from the initial fee to carry out the demo, as we discussed (it is in Uri's plan). In my own view, this should eventually turn out to be the most important financial investment Mr. X has ever made or will ever make in his lifetime. When it comes to pass, this result will be one of the most landmark events in the history of science. I have read hundreds of science books in my lifetime, and I cannot imagine any development in science that could be more profound than the demonstration that the current "laws of physics" have been sitting on sand-like foundations. They are ready to collapse and usher in a world of new possibilities for energy, medicine, for everything. So, be assured, that the Final Phase of the plan is the complete changing of the energy geopolitical infrastructure of the world, as well as the ending of many fictions about science and its limit.
Here are the roles of the key personnel so far, as outlined in Uri's report: Uri Soudak, MSc, member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) - a graduate of the Technion, Haifa, Israel; later the CTO of Israel Aircraft Industries and CEO and COO of several Israeli and American companies. Uri has experience in several industries, such as Aeronautical, Space, Medical Devices, Batteries, Microelectronics, Robotics, Industrial Computerized Tools, Fuzzy Logic, Communications - to name a few - and in a plethora of products, both as a leading strategist and as an operational manager. Lately he is also acting as a consultant to companies that need a significant change to survive and be profitable in today's business environment. Uri also has a Certificate of Strategic Management from INSEAD, the leading European management school. He will manage the commercial company being invested in and will continue parallel efforts to promote AToS, its related technologies and its products.Let me repeat my belief that the best outcome of your meeting with Mr. X would be to have him ask to speak with me and you - and perhaps Uri Soudak as well, if Uri can arrange to attend that first meeting. But first you must achieve the near miraculous - getting him to listen! In the beginning, and probably for some time, it will be essential, as you say, to keep this matter separated and confidential from those already working on the Energetics program. We do not think it is realistic to mix the two programs together, though there is no doubt that the Energetics program will benefit from increase understanding of how LENR is really working - it is most likely NOT the lattice-based naive theories you read about today. The tow programs each have their own separate values, which I have tried to define better in the above text. I thank you so very much for your kindness, understanding, and patience.
